3) Where can I find the minutes of the meetings? Find the minutes on the "About Us" page of this website.
4) How does a rank-and-file member get an item on the agenda of the NCMTA board meeting? The best way is to email the president with your concern. Check our Contact NCMTA page.
5) How can I become more involved in the organization, other than being an officer or on the Board? On the Calendar page you will find a list of our activities and a contact person. Pick an activity and contact the chairperson.
6) Is it beneficial to join the affiliates (NCTM and AMTNYS) as well as NCMTA? What are the benefits? Absolutely! Each organization maintains a website that is the gateway to all the resources the organization provides. You will get e-mails about events that will help improve your practice as an educator. You will also support math education at the national, state, and local levels.
7) Is there an active, ongoing outreach to college-level mathematics educators to become members of NCMTA? Our college liaison officer maintains this effort.
8) Are there any monetary advantages that come with being a member of NCMTA such as reduced registration fees at organization-sponsored events? There is usually a reduction in fees for members at these events.
